The Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida has reinstated the Rhino Encounter experience after a three-year absence.

A 2-year-old girl was injured in 2019 after she accidentally fell between the Rhino Encounter exhibit’s bars. Her mother, whose arms were injured, was also taken to the hospital at the time for treatment. Although the young kid was saved in a couple of seconds, she was injured. The Rhino encounter was put on hold as a result of this incident.

While after the medical treatment Riho joined her mother after a period of three months.

The Rhino Encounter is getting a second shot at the Brevard Zoo. The zoo’s management has made some changes to the experience with the goal of boosting safety. As a consequence, the minimum age limit has been changed, the netting has been installed around the steel bars, and various safety measures have been developed.
