In Alaska, this is the incredible moment a couple of bear cubs grasp hands while waiting for their mother to catch them some dinner.
The two are said to be siblings, with one being bigger than the other. They wait, attentively watching their mother, who was out hunting for salmon.
Lewis Kemper, 62, of California, took the shot in Lake Clark National Park, where he says:
“The two bears linked hands for almost 20 seconds, expecting that their mother would bring them some food, but she returned empty-handed.”
“Although bears enjoy eating fish, the majority of them are omnivores who consume mostly vegetation, including a lot of grass.”
“Bears are normally fairly quiet, making them excellent subjects for photography.”
The cubs even joined their mother in an attempt to help her catch their supper at one point.
