Living a life in the wild might be difficult at times since there is so much running about. For one leisurely armadillo, it was fortunately easy to find a spot to relax for a spell.
That location was Kristy West’s pool.
West and her family live in East Texas, but last weekend they were away from home on a vacation. That apparently came as welcome news to this little armored local.
It had been pretty hot out, and West’s pool is a perfect spot to stay cool. So, seeing as no one was around to be bothered, the armadillo evidently decided to make use of it himself.
The small kid presumably hoped that no one would notice his unauthorized pool day plan, but there was one detail he overlooked. In fact, West had requested that her sister-in-law stop over to see how things were going.
At that point, the armadillo was seen calmly floating about on a comfortable blue cushion.
Yep. Busted.
West quickly learned what was happening back at her house. It’s interesting to note that she was also cooling down at the beach when the text from her sister-in-law buzzed in.
According to West, “I felt something was awry when my daughter came racing out of the water with the phone.” “Then she revealed the images to me. Although I was astonished, I found it fantastic and amusing. Regarding that, we laughed a lot.”
In the end, West didn’t mind the guest swimming in her pool at all. Even though armadillos can swim quite well, she had her sister-in-law assist the armadillo in getting out just in case.
Well, it was fun while it lasted.
The armadillo strolled off after being led outside and vanished beneath the deck, a lovely, shaded spot for a post-pool snooze.
