‘Silly’ Horse Gets Herself Into A Very Perplexing Situation

The expansive fields at the Florida estate of owner Ann McQueen provide plenty of space for this horse, named Pixie, to graze and play. The charming little filly still managed to end up in a situation where she was helplessly imprisoned.

Pixie became trapped.

It was a weird situation.

Somehow, Pixie had gotten trapped inside the bars of a hay rack, where her food is usually placed at feeding time. Her legs were positioned in such a way within the rack that it wasn’t clear at all how she’d ended up like that in the first place.

Nevertheless, when McQueen spotted her in that tight spot, Pixie didn’t seem terribly concerned.

“Well, there stood Pixie in the hay rack, just looking at me,” McQueen told The Dodo. “She wasn’t thrashing, sweating or bleeding, but she was stuck.”

Even while it was difficult to comprehend how Pixie got into that situation in the first place, it was equally difficult to come up with a solution. McQueen had some help with that bit.

A Walton County Fire Rescue squad soon arrived to offer assistance.

They created a passageway through the hay rack using the Jaws of Life, allowing Pixie to pass through. She still needed a little prodding, though. Here is a clip of that rescue:

Even though Pixie is safe today, many are still perplexed by the events that put her in that situation.

One internet commentator said, “I have so many questions.

Another person chimed on, “How in the world did this foolish girl accomplish this.”
