A mother and her puppy were speeding through a popular Florida neighborhood earlier this month when two Tampa Police Department officers saw them and decided to stop and assist.
Recently, two police officers saw a mother and her puppy zipping through a busy Florida neighborhood and decided to stop and provide assistance. The cops’ day took a little turn for the better once the canines were apprehended and sent to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
“After returning to the scene to investigate further, they noticed a closed suitcase with squeals coming from inside of it, outside a vacation rental,” A Facebook post stated.
When the officers carefully opened the suitcase, they were shocked to find seven tiny puppies inside. The puppies cried with excitement as the case was finally unzipped. Once the officers put the events of the day together, they realized the puppies were crying out for their mom — the dog the officers had just rescued hours before.
We are really appreciative that they came back to the site to save the puppies. The post went on. “Our incredible team is taking care of all seven of our 5-week-old puppies in our puppy nursery while mom, a Terrier mix, is here relaxing.”
The statement stated, “The puppies owe their survival to their mother who rushed about attempting to obtain assistance so she could pull her puppies out of the luggage.
All seven puppies, along with their mother, are doing well despite being a bit dehydrated. Although they aren’t yet suitable for adoption, they are nevertheless getting lots of attention and cuddles from the shelter personnel. Although it’s still unknown how the puppies got into the luggage, they are currently having fun under the watchful eyes of shelter personnel.
Regan Blessinger, a representative for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, told The Dodo that the animals are “very lively and joyful, growing and becoming stronger.” “They’ll be prepared for their forever homes soon!”
