In the same vein as his namesake, Loki enjoys nothing more than getting into trouble.
Loki’s mother, Nina Theeuwes, told The Dodo, “He’s really wicked.” He pretends to turn away when he spots food on the ground before grabbing it rapidly. He frequently tricks us, as evidenced by the time the other day when he devoured a portion of my slipper despite generally showing little interest in shoes.
Or he enters the dishwasher covertly to get some food remnants. He is being trained by us right now. yet, he still has a ways to go!
Recently, Loki’s parents left the house and went to a coffee shop around the corner as a practice run of leaving Loki alone. They set up a doggy camera so they could keep an eye on him, and Theeuwes kept checking her phone every few minutes to see how he was doing. Everything seemed to be going OK — until Loki’s mischievous side kicked in.
“I tried to put my phone away a bit longer and longer, then, suddenly, I picked up my phone and saw the sheep plushie,” Theeuwes said.

Loki had placed one of his most loved toys, Miss Sheep, right in front of the camera so his parents couldn’t see him anymore. His parents were shocked, and although they were definitely worried about not being able to see him anymore, they also couldn’t help but laugh.
“I quickly finished my cappuccino and rushed home to check what he was doing,” Theeuwes said. “I also turned the volume of my phone to 100 to still have some idea of what [was] happening at home. Upon arrival, he greeted us wildly wagging his tail at the door as if nothing had happened.”
His parents also found it amusing that he picked out the sheep-themed toy. Although he adores it, it is not his absolute favorite, and it appears that he only uses it when he is feeling very naughty.
Theeuwes said, “It looks like the sheep only shows up when he’s in a bad mood.

Loki repeatedly positioned his sheep-shaped toy in front of the dog camera before his owners finally found a solution and relocated it on the kitchen table. They want to install it to the wall eventually, placing it fully out of Loki’s grasp. With the king of mischief around, you just can’t be too careful.
Fortunately, Loki didn’t get into any serious mischief when his parents weren’t looking. Perhaps he was only attempting to display his prized lamb toy, or perhaps he was thinking up his next idea. We might never find out.
