Zackrydz Rodzi was shocked to find his cell phone missing when he woke up one morning at his Malaysian house. He had left it there the previous evening. Oddly, all he discovered was the phone’s casing.
Rodzi told The Dodo, “I believed it was some type of heist. It was strange.
It turned apparent that a robbery had occurred. Rodzi, though, had no way of knowing who the main suspect would be.
Rodzi searched high and low for the phone, just in case he’d misplaced it somewhere, though he failed to find it.
That is, until:
“I asked my brother to give a call [to my phone] while I was searching for it in my backyard,” Rodzi said. “I heard the ringtone near the jungle behind my house.”
There, in the jungle, Rodzi found his phone — and on it, evidence of the likely thief.
The phone had been dropped in mud, which caused some internal damage. But lucky for Rodzi, it still worked.
He decided to check it for clues.
“I opened the photo gallery, and boom. Everything was there,” Rodzi said. “Photos. Selfies.”
It would appear that a monkey had taken Rodzi’s phone, and the monkey wasn’t hesitant to use it.
The monkey had gone on a selfie spree.
The more Rodzi scrolled through the photos, the less he felt upset about his phone having been taken.
“I went from being furious to crying happy tears. I find that to be humorous “said Rodzi.
The clarity of many of the monkey’s images was often lacking, especially as the phone’s internal components deteriorated.
However, there were also a few views that were rather artistic, such as these woodland vistas seen through the eyes of a monkey.
“I think the monkey needs to work on several very important abilities. The best, “said Rodzi. And for someone just starting off!
Here’s a fuller look at what Rodzi found on his phone:
“It’s not something that you see every day,” Rodzi said.
Unfortunately, Rodzi said, moisture exposure may have damaged the phone beyond repair. But he has no hard feelings towards the monkey thief, who he believes snuck into the house through a window left open that night.
“It’s fine. I can’t blame him,” Rodzi said. “I just never would have thought it was a monkey who stole my phone.”
