Anderson Bahi saw something the other night on his way home that he won’t soon forget.
It was the epitome of unadulterated love.
“I was passing in my car when I saw an ambulance stopped on the other side of the road,” Bahi told.
Turns out, a man had suddenly fallen ill on the sidewalk a short time earlier while out with his dog.
After first responders loaded the man into the ambulance to drive him to the hospital, his little dog hopped onto the rear bumper, insisting that they take her, too.
Bahi could only see from a distance, but one thing was still obvious.
The affection this dog has for her owner is really unique, according to Bahi. “A devoted love.”
Fortunately, the ambulance personnel didn’t miss that fact. They unlocked the doors so the cute dog could stay at her owner’s side before driving off.
The dog continued to exhibit his loyalty after that, though.
The dog’s owner was brought into the hospital after arriving there.
While he was out, the dog waited patiently outside the hospital entrance for him to come back.
It didn’t take long for nearby resident and animal rescuer Maria Lcia Muniz to discover about the dog keeping watch at the hospital door. She made the offer to house her for the night.
Fortunately, the dog only had to wait a short while, and her loyalty paid off.
Muniz told The Dodo, “It was quite emotional.” But thankfully, the owner spent only 45 minutes in the hospital. He and his dog were picked up by his family to go home.
