Sawnee Dog Retreat is a hugely popular canine day care and boarding business with dozens and dozens of dogs hanging around at the same time. When the dogs are let into the yard, they form a charming (and highly controlled) stampede, which Rawson Livezey, the owner of Sawnee Dog Retreat, enjoys filming.
Livezey had a camera set up one day when about 85 dogs raced out into the yard. It mostly caught dogs athletically jumping into the air as they rushed outdoors to play — until Copper came along.
Copper, a Brittany spaniel, was overjoyed to go outside and play with all of his buddies that day. As he sprinted into the yard, he attempted to take a shortcut by hopping over several of the dogs racing alongside him, but his plan did not go as planned.
Instead of floating above the other dogs, Copper collided with them and flew toward the camera.
Of course, Livezey and the rest of the staff were nearby and promptly ran over to check on Copper. Fortunately, he was unmoved and not even a little embarrassed.
“He immediately got back up and started playing after his mishap,” Livezey told The Dodo.
After the pandemonium died down, everyone viewed the footage and couldn’t stop laughing. Copper’s overconfidence completely ruined the lovely video of dogs running — and ended up making it a million times better.
