Teddy, who is three years old, is perhaps best described as inquisitive yet cautious. Some objects frighten him, such as pillows and boxes. As a result, he approaches anything new with care, fearful of having to add it to that list.
Teddy’s father, Johnathan Lower, told The Dodo, “Teddy is very wary about anything he meets.” “However, if he warms up to something, he may be extremely courageous!”
Teddy and his dad love filming silly videos together, and Teddy has learned to sit very still for those in order to get the perfect shot. Recently, the pair were filming a video for Valentine’s Day, and Teddy’s dad brought him some cookies as a gift. He also brought a balloon along as a prop. Unfortunately, Teddy wasn’t prepared for the introduction of something new — and it ended up completely stealing his focus.
“Now that I think of it, I think that was his first time seeing a balloon in his life,” Lower said. “I literally couldn’t get his gaze off of it!”
Teddy could only gaze at the balloon while Lower attempted to continue with the film. He remained completely motionless, but his gaze was fixated on the balloon. Lower suspected that Teddy would be afraid of the balloon before filming, so he lowered it for him to investigate and convince him that it wasn’t that frightening. Teddy, on the other hand, continued to stare once he released it.
Teddy and his father were recording the DVD that his father had produced for him in Teddy’s room, and his father immediately understood that Teddy wouldn’t pay attention again until he removed it.
Lower said, “He wouldn’t take his eyes off it until I got it out of his house.”
Teddy has a lot of things he likes, but he also has a lot of things he doesn’t like – and balloons have reportedly recently joined the list.
