These adorable tiny “bunnies” are really sea slugs that live in the deep ocean.
The jorunna parva sea slugs, a highly unusual tiny critter that is being compared to fluffy bunnies, were first shown to the world courtesy of the Japanese Twitter-sphere.
The sea slugs’ heads contain what appear to be little bunny ears, but they are really sensory rhinophores that the sea slugs use to find food and mates.
Japanese divers have given these tiny sea slugs the moniker “coma-chan,” which means to “cute little sesame,” according to a report by Sora News 24.
It’s unquestionably a name that fits these small fellas pretty well.
Naturally, no one would ever describe a sea slug as cute, but here we have a few that seem really charming.
