There are people who are really eager to restore our trust in mankind from time to time, and this hero is unquestionably one of them. The woman, a volunteer at an animal shelter, performs the most adorable thing to ensure that an abandoned dog feels a little better after surgery.
A colleague captured the lovely moment on camera, and the video has since gone viral.
Lovely video footage shows staffer Chrissy Ireland cuddling with Prissy – a four-year-old abandoned dog – to make her feel comfortable after surgery. The dog was awaking from anesthesia – and as usually happens – she was having a very tough time, but fortunately she wasn’t alone. Chrissy goes inside her kennel, lays down next to her and starts to comfort her. Only she didn’t know co-worker Debra Cameron was watching the emotional scene!
At the Conway Area Humane Society in New Hampshire, the incident took place. After being dumped with her three little puppies in a Tennessee junkyard, Prissy was brought here. Fortunately, a helpful stranger discovered them quickly and took them to the shelter.
Chrissy recalled the poignant incident and expressed her desire for Prissy “not to wake up alone.”
The woman told ABC NEWS, “I saw her and she was all unsteady and she didn’t feel well.” “I was very sad for her because of that. So I simply happened to be kissing and enjoying her while lying on the floor with her. After waking up from anesthesia, being enclosed by walls and a gate is just terrifying.
The woman said she was unaware that Debra was filming, let alone that the scene would become so famous. However, she now hopes that the occasion may assist Prissy in finding a forever home.
The compassionate woman responded, “I think she’d be terrific in any family and in any circumstance. “I’d want to see her go with children so that she may be outside having fun in a yard.”
